The Definition of Sexuality
Understanding the definition of sexuality In today's world of blurry gender images, is growlingly more important for men especially -- and women, as well.
Books that pass the test of time only do so because they reveal certain truths. The Bible, though given a poor reputation by religious fanatics, reveals a lot about Nature.
This includes the true definition of sexuality. And it speaks of it as being "two as one flesh", meaning sexuality is not two, but one.
So what is sexuality?
Male sexuality and female sexuality, when they come together in perfect harmony, are a single entity that serves an important function.
That's why movements such as feminism and machoism are so dangerous. They war against the opposite sex, only to war on themselves and create a divide in sexuality, splitting it like an atom.
There are countless articles on human sexuality. But the secret, I believe is to notice that...
The Body Reveals the Definition of Sexuality
One of the many benefits of studying the Alexander Technique is that it brings with it a greater understanding or awareness of how the human body functions. And the effectiveness of how we function, our optimal potential in any performance, is in direct relation to how we use or coordinate ourselves.
The foundation of FM Alexander's discovery was that when we tense our necks, our heads are prevented from going forward and up, which consequently stops our backs from lengthening and widening -- which are the conditions necessary for us to function as we were designed to.
As children, we all performed at this high level naturally.
The neck is omnipotent. A free neck will allow the whole organism to function freely, while a tense neck with throw the entire system off balance causing all kinds of dysfunctions or ailments and welcoming sicknesses throughout the body.
Though the head is the leader, it is the influence of the neck that determines just how effective a leader the head will be.
What does this have to do with male sexuality or female sexuality?
Within this picture of human nature lies the definition of sexuality.
Understanding the Biblical Metaphor
There are Biblical references of the definition of sexuality likened to the body.
The husband is viewed as the head of the household. And, I think, the wife being the neck, while the children are the body.
Having an awareness of how Nature designed our bodies to be used is, I believe, a clue into understanding the definition of sexuality -- for if you don't understand how the body works, how can we truly understand the metaphor?
But when you do, the true natures and purposes behind male sexuality and female sexuality become obvious.
With the body, when the neck tries to lead, it becomes tense, pulling the head back and down, which contracts and contorts the rest of the body.
And so it is when the wife tries to lead.
Then the whole sexual coordination is thrown off balance by preventing the man from being free to lead, which contorts the children. No wonder Napoleon Hill listed choosing a poor mate in marriage as a top cause of failure in life.
So What is Sexuality?
The definition of sexuality -- like the relationship between the human body's head, neck, and back -- is POISE.
And what is poise?
It's the balance and harmony between male sexuality and female sexuality. This means neither tries to compensate for the others refusal or inadequacy to fulfill their purpose or role.
So if you eventually want a family, choosing a quality woman is critical. A nagging feminist or a worry rat will not only destroy your ambition in life by pulling you back and down, they will, in doing so, create major disturbances in your children.
Be a leader and find a free woman, meaning a woman who knows what real femininity is. That's the key not only to a healthy long-term relationship, but a successful happy life -- should you choose to marry.
Because she supports you by giving you your freedom instead of pulling you back by tightening up, you'll go forward and up and take her and your family with you.
