What are the alpha male traits that establish the leader in a group?
After all, since women always go for the most dominant male in a group FIRST, just how do you become the alpha male in the communities you find yourself in, whether at work, school, or a party?
Some think of dominant males as guys who are in control of social situations. And though this may appear to right, it's slightly misleading. In fact, guys who act on this often have the least control.
For if you try to control a situation for the PURPOSE of having the power or being 'dominant', you won't have it. You'll just be selfishly domineering.
Sound confusing? It is a bit of a catch-22.
So what if there was an alpha male system you could apply by following certain concepts or principles? And by learning to practice these principles, you could develop all the alpha male qualities?
What are the alpha male traits?
That's what I'm about to explain. But it helps to first look at what an alpha male is not. For when you see that, you can easily make the necessary contrasts...
What Alpha Male Behavior Is Not
What separates the leaders from the followers? And how are average guys' attributes different from alpha male qualities?
As I discuss with great detail in Cool Guy with Women, there are two major traits that cause guys to not only be powerless with women, but in their communication in general.
Here's the simplified version...
First, they look to others for acceptance. They look to others to determine whether or not they 'fit in' and how they 'fit' into each social situation they encounter.
Second, they look to others for permission or approval for how they ought to behave in that social situation. They look to others in order to decide whether it's acceptable to act in a certain way before they do.
These two factors are the EXACT opposite of the core alpha male traits.
And I think it's pretty easy to see how having these traits relates to dealing with women. If guys are looking for acceptance and permission from women to get what they want, and since women are attracted to leaders -- guys who exhibit alpha male behavior -- they're trying to follow a woman's lead.
This is a recipe for failure with and rejection from women, so...
What Prevents Guys from
Developing Alpha Male Traits?
Essentially, the reason guys don't develop alpha male qualities is because they're afraid of exactly that; failure or rejection.
And oftentimes, both at the same time -- or they take 'shift-work'.
Yet fear has a funny way of causing guys to engineer excuses to explain away their fear of failure and compensations to cloak their fear of rejection.
Those who fear failure then develop a need to be right. This makes it easy for them to justify their excuses and actually convince themselves into believing they're solid reasons.
You'll notice they explain and defend themselves and their behavior.
And those who fear rejection develop a need to be liked. This makes it necessary for them to compensate by adopting all kinds of gimmicks or tricks as a failsafe to prevent disapproval.
You'll notice they brag about themselves or flatter others.
On one hand, you have the Nice Guy. And on the other, you have the Jerk or the Smooth Guy -- both mutations of the Nice Guy.
Yet all are proud -- in their different and varied ways.
But becoming the alpha male isn't about being better or superior to other men, which is what pride is all about. This very urge is a symptom of either fearing failure or rejection.
Though they make evaluations, alpha males accept others for who and where they are today, without judging, comparing, or competing.
How to Become the Alpha Male
It's probably obvious by now about how to become the alpha male. And though it is a process of change, you develop the two dominant alpha male traits...
NOT needing acceptance or permission from anyone, but yourself...
... and without violating the rights of others.
When these traits become strong within the core of your thinking, you exhibit alpha male behavior naturally, as a reflection of the way you think.
Your decisions and actions or body language take care of themselves. Behavior is an expression of character traits.
And along with this alpha male behavior, the urge to outdo the next guy disappears completely -- serious competition, that is... as being playfully competitive is a healthy practice.

And since most people look to others for acceptance and permission, because alpha males look only to themselves (though they do have advisors who they pay for advice), others almost intuitively sense an alpha male's direction in Life and so look to him to 'fit in' and for a demonstration of how to behave and act.
Women are looking for leaders. Unconsciously, within their nature, they seek guys who will accept them and give them permission to feel powerful emotions.
And you can't do that if you're looking to women for acceptance or permission. You have to reverse those roles, so women look to you for acceptance and approval by developing the alpha male traits.
That's the core reason women find alpha male behavior irresistible.
Yet there's an even more ironic twist... a true alpha male will actually communicate to women that they don't need his acceptance or permission...
